Louisville and Jefferson County, KY MSD Receives NBP EMS CertificationLouisville and Jefferson County, KY MSD Receives NBP EMS Certification
The National Biosolids Partnership is pleased to recognize the Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) in Louisville, KY as the 21st wastewater agency in the nation to be certified and admitted to the Partnership's environmental management system (EMS) for biosolids program. MSD is one of 100 wastewater agencies currently participating in the NBP EMS program. As the 21st wastewater agency certified and admitted into the NBP EMS program and first in Kentucky, MSD's achievement recognizes that the agency has been independently verified as having an effective biosolids environmental management system. The MSD biosolids EMS was independently verified on July 31, 2008 by the audit firm, KEMA-Registered Quality, Inc. MSD is planning an EMS celebration sometime in late September 2008.  More >>
