The National Biosolids Partnership is pleased to recognize the Lewiston-Auburn Water Pollution Control Authority in Lewiston, ME as the 30th organization and first municipal facility in New England (two biosolids contractors, New England Organics in ME and Resource Management Inc. in NH, are NBP-certified) to be certified and admitted to the Partnership's environmental management system (EMS) for biosolids program. The LAWPCA is one of 100 organizations participating in the NBP EMS program. The LAWPCA's achievement recognizes that the agency has been independently verified as having an effective biosolids environmental management system. The LAWPCA biosolids EMS was independently verified on June 11, 2010 by the audit firm, KEMA-Registered Quality, Inc.
